Home base

Belleville itself

Our yard sits right on Mascoutah Avenue in Belleville, and this is still where most of our work happens. From the commercial corridor around our own yard, into the historic streets near Public Square and the Cathedral of Saint Peter, out through the Belleville Historic District's mix of Foursquare, Queen Anne and Italianate homes, and across the newer subdivisions ringing the edge of town toward Fairview Heights, we have put containers on just about every kind of lot this area has — including a good number of tight in-town lots everyone else said could not be done.

If the container has to sit on a public street or sidewalk rather than your own driveway, Belleville itself requires registering the placement — even on private property — with the City of Belleville Building Department under the city's own ordinance (a 30-day placement limit applies). Outside city limits, unincorporated stretches of the county fall under the St. Clair County Highway Department rather than a city hall, and every other incorporated city or village in our service area handles its own placement permits the same way. A placement on a state-numbered route (I-64, IL-15, IL-13, IL-158, IL-159 and IL-161 all run through our area) may also need an IDOT District 8 highway permit — confirm the current fee and process directly, and allow lead time before you plan a same-day drop. Prohibited items follow Illinois EPA guidance statewide, and St. Clair County Health Dept. — Pollution Prevention & Recycling is the resource we point customers to for the categories a roll-off legally cannot take: paints, fuels, chemicals, batteries and electronics.

FAQs

Service area questions

Do you charge more for towns further from Belleville?

Our flat rate already accounts for the run, and every town on this page is inside our normal radius so you are not paying a distance surcharge. If you are outside the listed area, call (618) 212-8410 and we will tell you straight away whether we can serve you and what it would cost.

My town is not listed — can you still deliver?

Often, yes. The list covers where we run regularly across St. Clair County, but we stretch beyond it for the right job. One phone call settles it.

Do permit rules change from town to town?

Yes, and this catches people out. Driveway placement on private property is straightforward in most towns we serve, though Belleville itself is a notable exception — its own ordinance requires registering a placement even on private property. Street or public right-of-way placement needs permission from that specific municipality (or, outside city limits, the county), and the process and lead time differ town to town. In Belleville it starts with the City of Belleville Building Department — confirm the current fee and process with them directly. Always check with the town you are actually in.

Can you deliver to multiple addresses for one project?

Yes — property managers, realtors and contractors do this regularly. Tell us the addresses and the sequence you want them served and we will schedule the run. Certificates of insurance for multiple sites are no problem.
